Electronic Engineer to develop a wide range of microprocessor based test and measurement products for the electrical, network, fiber and communication markets. Responsibilities include developing all aspects of a small product to developing circuits as part of a team developing larger products. You should be able to work with minimal instruction, be capable of developing product specifications and schedules from marketing requirement documents, do board level design, make component selection including the selection of microprocessors, FPGAs, digital ASICs and interface to analog modules through the use of OP-AMPS and transistors etc. The candidate must be capable of producing schematic designs and have knowledge in C programming. Your people skills and ability to work well with others are just as important as you technical ability.
Requirements:
· BSEE and 3 years minimum experience.
· The uses of schematic capture tools (Orcad, ViewDraw, etc.)
· Selecting of components, processors, and programmable logic products to implement the design
· The use of microprocessor emulators, debuggers, and logic analyzers
· Ability to interface microprocessor and digital hardware to a large array of circuitry including serial I/O, USB, PCMCIA, analog I/O such ad A/D and D/A etc., SPI, Key Pads, and LCD type Displays, etc.
· Design and development of Field Programmable devices through HDL
· Programming firmware in C
Other skill we consider:
· Use of embedded OS’s and or embedded Linux a plus
· Knowledge of OP-AMPS and transistors
· Knowledge of programming a PC in either C or Visual Basic for product testing.
