Position Summary
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for quality control activities in support of company production and quality objectives.
Principle Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of purchased electronic parts and components both custom and standard off-the-shelf, in-process and finished goods according to established procedures and sampling plans, including operation of a variety of measurement and test equipment to complete tasks.
- Perform all functions in compliance with and ISO 9000 requirements.
- Identify and report non-conforming material.
- Conform to all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documents as per quality system regulation.
- Assist in the process of keeping documentation current and updated.
- Provide assistance to production and service staff to ensure product is shipped according to quality and schedule objectives.
- Assist in compiling Quality data for analysis.
- Participate in project work to provide testing data and other support functions.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels.
- Complete all required training and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge and skill required to use multiple types of precision, manual and automated measuring equipment. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Able to read, understand, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, ISO 9000, and other government regulations written in English.
- Able to maintain a high and consistent service level and operate under deadlines. Able to maintain accuracy and provide attention to details, multi-task, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Physically able to perform all job duties, which necessitates:
- Continual visual concentration and sitting in the same place;
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, reach, and move freely throughout building for performance of duties;
- Prolonged standing and sitting;
- Good finger dexterity;
- No visual or auditory impairment not correctable to normal levels or that would impair safety of individual or others.
Desired Skills
Experience as an electronics receiving inspector.
