Job Summary
Performs professional mechanical engineering assignments involving design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging. Conducts feasibility studies and testing of moderate complexity on new and modified designs and provides recommendations accordingly.

- Must be able to demonstrate skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education; may have advanced degree.
- Has demonstrated significant contributions in the successful completion of design projects.
- Applies thorough knowledge of design methodologies. Basic knowledge in utilizing design engineering tools including the ability to statistically analyze data and report it in graphical formats (graphs and charts). Has a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (materials, thermodynamics, stress, strain).
- Requires advanced experience using one or more of the following software packages: SolidWorks, Excel and other MS Office applications.
