Fixed Asset Supervisor (Oracle Experience Required)

Key Job Duties:

• Supervise daily activities of fixed asset accountants to ensure effective time management, appropriate accounting treatments and process improvements
• Review and approve work performed, including journals to be posted to system of record
• Manage the interfaces from Accounts Payable and Oracle EIB as well as interfaces to Fixed Assets and General Ledger (GL), including reconciliations between the modules
• Ensures that the FA module is closed timely (per management directives) on a monthly basis and that all errors identified from the exception report are resolved
• Responsible for ensuring that balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and appropriate journal entries are recorded (recurring and non-recurring) on a timely basis
• Clear reconciling items on a routine and regular basis
• Supervise the Oracle 11i Fixed Asset Accounting (FA) module
• Support the optimization of Oracle FA through suggestion and implementation of process improvements using the functional benefits provided by the application
• Document all processes as established
• Provides FA functional expertise for identification and resolution of system development/production issues
• Conducts and/or coordinates user training, which includes creating and updating FA support documentation
• Assist in the development of short and long range planning related to the use of the FA module
• Manage/assist application testing processes
• Performs quality assurance testing leading up to UAT testing
• Assist with creating test scripts and the facilitation of testing in non-production environments
• Executes ongoing SOX 404 compliance requirements regarding configurable controls, application access and security

Key Job Requirements:

• Requires 5 to 7 years experience in Oracle Financials accounting environment working specifically with Oracle Discoverer
• Minimum 3 years of Oracle FA experience
• Strong emphasis on reconciliation and Excel skills
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in general accounting, accounts payable, project accounting or fixed assets
• Requires a Bachelors Degree with an Accounting emphasis, CPA preferred
