DESIGNER : Direct Full Time Position with Exciting Company!

Hours are 8-4:30 or 7:30-4 with possible overtime (paid), no weekends

Salary: $52K+, DOE and past salary history

Position is 2/3 Electronics & 1/3 Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Generating detailed drawing from layouts, creating detail Fabrication drawings of mechanical parts and Printed Wiring Boards and generating sub-assembly drawings. 
• Required to read and interpret Electrical/Electronic Schematics.
• Create detailed electrical/mechanical layouts with the use of schematics and guidance from Engineers.
• Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Generate other required sub-assembly drawings such as Connector assemblies, wiring assemblies, and other related assemblies being used in a particular project.
• Assist Drafters, other Designers, and Engineers with questions and concerns about their Design and Layouts.
• Interprets drawings in accordance with MIL-STD-100.
• Prepare layouts, assembly, and detail drawings for new or improved products, special machinery design, test equipment, tools, fixtures, and gauge design.
• Prepares bills of material and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable with the standard Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ANSI Y14.5M-1995.
• Preferably familiar with Military drawing standards, IEEE standards, and IPC standards.
• AutoCAD, ORCAD, and Excel knowledge.
• SolidWorks and/or PADS a plus.
• US Citizenship required.

Associates degree (A. A.) in drafting/engineering from two-year College or technical school preferred; five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
