Senior Digital IC Engineer
San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
- Conducts digital circuit analysis, develops schematics, runs functional and timing simulations, and performs layout and design verifications of ultra low-power IC’s for RFID application.
- Performs laboratory measurements using logic analyzer, oscilloscope, or Credence system.
- Knowledge of digital synthesis and place and route: non-overlapping clocks and clock trees, memory and peripheral circuits, I/O, adders, multipliers, embedded systems (Xilinx), and full-custom design is required.
Skills/Experience:
- Three to five years industry experience in digital IC design using ModelSim, Synopsys, Mentor, or Cadence is required.
- Coding in Verilog and VHDL, test bench development, and code control is required.
- Background in cell library design and characterization is desirable.
- Knowledge of communications theory: data encoding, modulation, adaptive filters, or noise modeling is desirable.
- Experience using MatLab or MathCad.
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs using Xilinx ISE required.
- Very good communication skills required.
- Linux proficiency is desirable.
Educational Requirements:
BSEE with emphasis in analog circuit theory, MSEE desirable.
